History

Dr. Alain P. Rousseau, internationally renowned ophthalmologist, researcher and surgeon, was without a doubt one of the great world geniuses of his time in ophthalmology. In 1979, he created the FMO with the explicit goal of making Quebec and, in particular, Quebec City an international hub for research in ocular disease. Forty years later, we can say that his foresight was 20/20.
